This book is going to inspire you, my friends. It took me about two days to read it, and it’s really hard to put down once you start. I really like the stories and I found myself re-reading them and laughing out loud because they are valuable, yet they are funny and entertaining too. I’m not a manager or a business owner but I found a ton of value reading this book because it all applies to not just work, but life. I think I’m going to leave a copy on my bosses desk. Highly recommended!!!!

Having worked in human resources, knowledge management and workplace solutions the majority of my career, I found this book dead on. Employee engagement is a critical consideration for any organization and the author bridges the gap between social/psychological and technology solutions very well. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in the topic...

The author shared an early copy of this book with me -- and I couldn't put it down. That may sound strange about a book on employee engagement -- but the stories Tim Eisenhauer uses to illustrate his philosophy and advice are just riveting. The book takes you outside of the "employee engagement box" and takes you on a journey through this founder's fascinating career path; how he discovered what worked and what DIDN'T work to engage employees; how he applied those lessons to create an engaged and productive team of his own -- and ultimately how he used those same lessons to develop a software solution that is as engaging as it is transformative for businesses.

I’ve owned a business and spent many years working in a cubicle. I have seen both sides of how a business operates. There are some good managers out there and a whole lot of bad ones. What really stands out for me with Tim’s book, is he addresses the corporate culture. This is the center of it! How can managers be better, how can employees be better? I wish I had this book when I was a business owner as I’ve had my own shortcomings. I would have been a better boss because of it. A must read for any manager or business owner.

Great read! Packed full of great information and creative ideas. Very well written. The writer keeps it interesting throughout. This is not just for business owners and managers either. It has been helpful in assessing work goals and what I need (or need to ask for) in order to stay engaged at work. Everyone can take something from this book.
